There are various types of roads or surfaces in which the vehicles are driven. We must learn the tactics to face such challenges.The tutor must guide and teach various scenarios in which a driver would get into. Measures must be taken by the tutor to imbibe confidence in the driver. The driver should be capable of facing any situation and handling it immediately. Rules for
driving/parking must be thoroughly stated by the tutor. Unfortunately i find that this is more a (money making) business than an approach to teach car driving. The classes are held only for 21 days and each session lasts just for 2 hours.The vehicle is driven in the same routes, in which the driver would have become familiar within a few days. According to me, unnecessary importance is given to the placement of hands in the steer. As there was no seat belt in the car i was taught to drive, I was uninformed about its usage. Not much of hands-on exposure is present if the same routine is followed everyday. The fact that i dislike the most is the assurance of providing license after the classes get over, whether or not the driver has confidence in themselves. With more cars and trucks driven, care must be taken to avoid accidents and mishappenings. We need to test ourselves and use the vehicle only if we have self-confidence, because we know our purpose of living more than anyone else.

I quite agree. More emphasis has to be given on how a person drives wrt rules etc.
But, you tell me you had 21*2 hr sessions?! Are you sure you drove for 2 hrs every time?
Well.. i couldn't attend all the sessions as i went in the middle to undergo my infy training.. I'm going to resume this in a few weeks.. More than catching up the two hrs duration,how much kilometres the learner drives actually matters.. I was taken to the same roads and hence didn't get much opportunities to try out with different kinds of roads.
I agree... its a good money minting operation..
But then again, just like horse riding, kick boxing, pencil sharpening and crocodile wrestling, you only get better only with practice.
Like an old east african saying goes... "No matter how hard you try, you cant teach an Ostrich to fly" :)
